Dr. Bruno Lewin

Co-FOUNDER

Dr. Bruno Lewin is a family physician who has been practicing primary care medicine in Los Angeles since 1996. In addition to his busy primary care practice at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles, Dr. Lewin is the Director of the Travel Advisory Service there, Co-director of the Global Health Program at Southern California Kaiser Permanente and Co-Director of Integrative Clinics International (ICI). He received his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University before attending UCLA Medical School where he received his Doctor of Medicine and was Valedictorian of his class. He received his Certificate in Travel Health from the International Society of Travel Medicine and his Diplomate in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene from the London School of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene. He is passionate about community health and global medicine as well as training medical students and physicians. He teaches medical students in his primary care clinic, mentors students at the UCLA Mobile Homeless Clinic, and organizes the twice yearly Falmouth Medical Clinic in Jamaica.


 

Mayssa Sultan, L.Ac.

Co-FOUNDER

Mayssa Sultan has been a practicing acupuncturist since 2003. She holds a Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and a Masters of Public Administration and is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of California (L.Ac.) and a National Diplomate in both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine from the National Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Commission. Mayssa co-founded ICI in 2005 with the intention of creating an international organization where practitioners from all disciplines could come together to provide integrative care to underserved communities.  As part of this work Mayssa is committed to ensuring that the traditional medicines of the communities ICI’s teams visit are studied and incorporated into our work.

She is currently based in Cairo, Egypt where she has a private acupuncture practice. In addition to her private practice and work with ICI, Mayssa is working on a conservation project to study the medicinal herbs and traditions of a Bedouin tribe in the mountains of St. Catherine, Sinai.

Felicia Kelly

CFO/Logistics

Serving primarily as the CFO, Felicia brings a love for Jamaica and enhances the musical connection of the organization.  With a strong background working with Jamaican music starting in the 1980’s at Shanachie Records, she worked for legendary Chris Blackwell at Palm Pictures and spent 8 years with Warner Music Group. Her strength in organization and budgets provide the day to day management as well as securing the logistics on the ground in Jamaica.  Felicia currently resides in Minnesota where she holds a secondary social studies teaching license specializing in Urban Education.
